Problem
Pale Water Lily is an invasive species that chokes waterways, reducing their water quality and outcompeting native aquatic plants. They have traditionally been controlled by a spray team operating from a boat. This method of control is risky to the operators. It’s also impossible to measure the application rate of the chemical mix when using a hand gun sprayer, resulting is possible black water events.
Solution
Using the T10 spray drone, FMS applied a precise dose of chemical mix to selected infested areas of the Goulburn River. This resulted in the effective control of the lily’s with minimal overspray, reduced risk to personnel and less chemical use.
